The Spanish firm SPC remains committed to offering an increasingly wide range of products to cover all the technological needs of its users. In this sense, a new product arrives that will attract the attention of the most demanding.
SPC Ether 2 Sense are open-ear headphones for all tastes and at an unbeatable price that sound quite good. Discover with us this innovative SPC product and if it is truly worth it based on its very reasonable price.
Materials and design
These open-ear headphones are adaptable to all types of ears. They are made of matte plastic and flexible elements for proper support. Likewise, SPC offers two alternatives for purchase, both white and black. The case, with a traditional clamshell shape, is made of very well finished matte plastic, with a USB-C port on one side.
It is a somewhat heavier and larger product than we are used to, in the same way that it has an indicator on one of the edges. LED of State.
- Dimensions 53,12 x 28,14 x 21,11
- Weight: 6,3 grams per earbud
- Box contents: Earbuds, charging case, USB-C cable and quick guide
For the synchronization button we will have to open the box, since it is inside. For the rest, they are stored and removed with great ease, since the case is properly magnetized to offer ease of use.
Far from what you could imagine, these headphones They are not designed to be as close to the ear as possible, quite the opposite. You will notice how they are slightly separated from the auditory pavilion, and this produces a sensation of liberation and extremely high comfort, at the same time that it reduces its isolation to nothing.
In short, no user will be able to find comfort complaints, since They do not block the ear canal.
Technical characteristics and sound
Let's now move on to the more technical section. At the connectivity level, these headphones have Bluetooth 5.3 for connection, while they do not have Google Fast Pair. However, yes They can connect with two devices simultaneously, just as they connect alone when we take them out of the case.
Using them is easier thanks to the touch control, while the maximum range that we have been able to verify is around 8 meters away.
- Profiles: HSP, HFP, A2DP, AVRCP
At the audio level, SPC has improved its previous equalization work, with three audio outputs that channel the sound through different angles with the intention of offering a "surround" sound that, in truth, is quite successful.
It has two microphones with noise cancellation (ENC) for calls, while at the same time they will be able to connect with the main voice assistants. They also have a way Gaming which reduces latency, although it seems default, since I have not been able to find the specific functionality.
Focusing on the sound, we find a correct product, once again considering the price. We have a more than decent maximum volume, without distortions or noise, while we enjoy more than correct midrange and bass that, due to their type, cannot offer much more either. Enough and more than enough for some commercial music, even more so when taking into account the price.
Configuration, use and autonomy
Connecting them is as easy as removing the charging covers, pressing the pairing button, and searching for it in the list of available Bluetooth devices.
Obviously we have a touch panel on both headphones that will allow us to:
- 1 touch: Play and pause
- 1 long touch: Next or previous song
- 1 touch: Pick up and hang up calls
- 1 long tap: Reject the call
- 2 taps: Invoke voice assistant
The battery of the case is 500mAh, it has a total autonomy (with charge) of 30 hours, while the autonomy of a single charge reaches up to 8 hours. We have been able to prove this point with use.
Editor's opinion
We are definitely looking at a new product from SPC, which is not as cheap as usual, but which offers a more than correct sound for the price offered. from 59,90 euros on the website itself manufacturer.
